Passed Peacefully into the Promised Land
Surrounded by his loving families - wife, children, parents, sister and grandchildren, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, son and bother, breathed his last and entered into glory through the tender mercies of our heavenly Father in His perfect timing on this second day of April 2021.
We are overwhelmed with God's goodness in His providences that enabled us to come home in time for a truly heavenly time of farewells. The time was more precious than I could have imagined. I feel unspeakable blessed.
After 40 years of serving the Lord with all his heart, we have the peace and confidence that He is in the glorious presence of His Saviour. Ushered in to the eternal kingdom by his and our Redeemer
"Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord."
With Christ, which is better by far. And so we grieve for ourselves, but not without a sure and glorious hope. May the Lord Jesus grant you his peace amidst your tears.

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 Praise the Lord for Geoff's ministry here on earth! And now he is at rest with all the saints who have already entered into glory, awaiting the day of Christ's return to earth, to remove the curse and to restore and renew all things. He is Risen, indeed!
ReplyDeleteDear Lesli and family,
ReplyDeleteWe grieve with you in your enormous loss, and rejoice with you in your precious memories, and in the sure hope of the resurrection.
The LORD bless and keep you, and make His face shine on you and be gracious to you, lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace.
much love, Kathy & Ken
Dear Lesli & family
ReplyDeleteWe grieve with you over the loss of your dear husband & father, but as we know, we do not grieve as those who have no hope.
Our hope & help is in the name of the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth!
A Song of Ascents. Of David. "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side," Let Israel now say— "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, When men rose up against us, Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul; Then the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul." Blessed be the LORD, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 124:1-8

ReplyDeleteGeoff was the first young christian man and one of the only Christian men that ever showed me (Agape) True Godly love and brotherly respect It was example of care that God enabled me to push through some tough times and along with a lesson Lesli taught me in a most strange occurrence of events, that I was able to see how to really begin implementing the renewing of our minds as followers of Christ
ReplyDeleteI am saddened for all His family especially for Lesli as the loss is great and a hole left that is gapping wide
But I am confident as I'm sure Geoff was and Lesli is that HIs promises never fail and God will be there for all the family
For Geoff my heart is joyful at His gain and thankful for his influence in my life - He now knows what an effect it had
On my life - Respect and love for Geoff and his family no doubt I am one of countless numbers who feel this same way
Steve
We praise God for Geoff’s life, ministry, and faithfulness in his friendship towards us.
ReplyDeleteIt is so comforting to know that Geoff is in the presence of his lord and saviour whom he served. We pray that all your family will be able to process their grief and find great comfort in and from the Lord.
Our love and condolences to you all.

We are so sad for your wrenching loss and indeed, our loss in WPC. Our hearts ache for you! Death is that alien intruder which creates such pain of separation! ! Lesli your praise of God in your blogs is a great testimony to the truth which we again celebrated this Easter. "He is risen" and death has been conquered. What a joy! May you draw much comfort from this life-changing reality as the Holy Spirit ministers to you.
ReplyDelete3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Rev 21:3-5 (Isaiah 25:8)
Come soon Lord Jesus!

I am so sorry for your loss, and the loss of this faithful servant of Christ. Geoff was a great encourager to me when I was exploring pathways towards ordained ministry and I am grateful for the patience, grace, and interest he showed along the way. May you all know the consolation of our shared resurrection hope as you reflect on all that has happened and look with faith towards the future.
