Unexpected Earthly Events

Year's end, Christmas and six months since venturing into the world of blogging* brings a time for reflection, for thanksgiving, for praise. ðŸ™Œ

From oncology professor to occupational therapist, social worker to sister, elder to palliative care expert, GP to Google(!) the bleak advice turned our eyes toward a heavenly home. Yet we are here together, participating in a living miracle. Instead of farewelling our dear husband, father, son, pastor and friend we are enjoying earthly experiences impossible six months ago!

Joy in gathering for grandchildren's birthdays ðŸŽ‚ with Grandad! ðŸŽˆ

Joy in the presence of our sons and daugthers mixed with gladness over love out-poured and sadness upon parting.

When Ruth and family returned to WA to pick up their car and caravan, tears expressed the possibility of a final goodbye. More recently, with the wonderful improvement in Dad's condition, Naomi's departure held the hope of future visits.
Ruth & family endured the trek from Darwin in record time to spend a few hours with Amos and celebrate together God's goodness in lengthening Dad's days.
In our present world, traversing the oceans to Canada is impossible. For Amos, quarantine requirements curtailed four weeks of freedom. Hence, a very emotional farewell between father and son before boarding his flight.

Joy in special company sharing  their coastal ðŸŒŠ retreat with us.

Joy in celebrating our youngest graduating 📜 from college with flying colours!

Joy in shining a light ✨on the path to eternal peace and glory for a grieving company! Many deeply appreciated Geoff's message of friendship, comfort and hope, spoken from his heart.

Joy in family time remembering ⛪ Christ is the reason for the season!
